This company regularly had to run corporate networking events, to which all their clients and prospects would be invited. These events were designed to create a great deal of new business.
However, this wasn’t the case because the companies employees found the task of networking, building rapport and ‘working the room’ very challenging. Instead, the employees would spend the evening huddled together chatting rather then interacting and hosting the clients.
